Marissa Samuelson is an Accredited Practising Dietitian and has worked in a variety of settings before her academic career including community health, private practice, acute care and the Divisions of General Practice. Marissa started teaching into the Bachelor of Health Science (Nutrition & Dietetics) degree at Charles Sturt University in 2003.
Marissa is the Clinical Domain Leader for the Nutrition and Dietetics discipline. She also coordinates the undergraduate research subject.
Marissa's PhD combined her interest in the education and practice development of health practitioners, working in rural and regional environments and patient centred communication. Future research endeavours will continue to focus on this area as well as healthy ageing initiatives.
