Environmental Science is a global discipline. The teaching and research of the School of Environmental Sciences extends beyond the borders of Australia with activities in countries as diverse as Cambodia, Laos, Indonesia, Malaysia and Bhutan, as well as European and North American countries. An integral part of the courses offered by the School are two international field trips - a four week field trip to Nepal and a two week field experience in East Timor and a three week international project to Cambodia. By participating in these international activities, students develop a global understanding and increase their skills in international environmental science and management, sustainable development and ecotourism and global conservation, learning from locals and experts alike. And at the same time have a fantastic and enjoyable experience seeing countries from a perspective no tourist could ever experience alone.
