Krishna was raised in the small country town of Leeton.  On completing the HSC studied a Bachelor of Nursing Degree at Sydney University.  Krishna was one of the first Registered Nurses to graduate with a Bachelor of Nursing Degree.  Krishna gained clinical experience at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital NSW. It is here Krishna became a Clinical Nurse Specialist in the General Adult Intensive Care Unit.

Krishna completed a Master of Nursing Degree (critical care) at Sydney University. Research project was Evidence Base Practice - changing clinical protocol to reflect the evidence. Krishna then became the project officer for the implementation and installation of a clinical information system in the general intensive care unit, RPA.

Continuing interest in adult critical care Krishna accepted the position of Data Base Manager for an international Adult Intensive Care Patient database.  After relocating to Orange Krishna worked on a casual basis for the School of Nursing, Midwifery & Indigenous Health Bathurst before accepting a full time position as Lecturer in Nursing at Orange campus.

Teaching Interests
  • All facets of the nursing process. I am passionate about instilling pride in nurses for nursing.
Research Interests
  • I am currently enrolled in a Master of Health Science(honours) degree.  My research is comparing rural and metropolitan critical care nurses work loads and patient outcomes.
