To ride at the Equine Centre all students and staff will be required to be a member of the CSU Equine Centre and must have insurance with Equestrian Australia or the Equine Student Association.
Students boarding at the Equine Centre are exempt from this membership for the period that they board at the Equine Centre.
To be eligible for membership you must be a current Charles Sturt University Student or staff member. You must also be able to provide proof of membership with either Equestrian Australian or the CSU Equine Student Association – this is to ensure you have the appropriate insurance cover.
Membership cost is $120 for the 12 month period beginning the week of Orientation Week. Membership can be paid for at the Equine Centre Office.
Your membership will allow you to ride at the Equine Centre as often as you like, within the regulations of the Equine Centre. Some limitations will apply in the event of another booking for the facilities.
You can join by filling in the Membership Application Form (electronic). You must have proof of membership with either EA or ESA to be eligible to join the Equine Centre. You will also need to have your student card. Please email email@example.com to make an appointment time. You will be provided with a membership card which you must carry with you at all times.
You should always check availability of the facilities on the Booking Calendar before riding. The Equine Centre can also be contacted on 6933 2323 or firstname.lastname@example.org. It is a condition of riding that your membership card is kept on you at all times. This must be produced if requested. If you do not have a valid card, you will be asked to leave. The Equine Centre grounds are only available to staff and students who are current members of the Equine Centre. All other rules and regulations of the Equine Centre must be strictly adhered to. When signing up, you will sign a code of conduct agreeing to abide by these rules.
The Equestrian Club is a social/sporting club at CSU Wagga Wagga. Its members are people with an interest in horses who want to get to know other people with similar interests. By joining the ESA you receive insurance that will make you eligible for the CSU Equine Centre Membership. The ESA have organised training days in dressage, eventing and jumping throughout the year.
Horse boarding is available for students studying at CSU. The cost per day is $6.50. Demand for boarding is high, and there is often a waiting list. If you are interested in finding out more about boarding at CSU, please email email@example.com
