  • General Chemical & Physical Properties
    Sample Container: One litre (minimum) glass or plastic bottle
    Sampling technique: Rinse container with sample to be collected, fill to exclude air
  • Solids
  • Alkalinity
  • Hardness
  • Chlorine (C12)
  • Nitrogen
  • Phosphorous

  • Oils & Grease
    Sample container: Clean waters 1 litre glass typically, Industrial effluents 500mL glass typically
    Sampling technique: Do NOT rinse the bottle before filling. Fill to within 1-2 cm of the top. Note that sample bottles may contain an acid preservative.
  • Organics
    Sample container: 500mL (minimum) amber glass
    Sampling technique: Bottle may contain preservative. Do NOT rinse bottle before filling. Do not completely fill bottle.
  • Microbiological
    Sample container: 120mL (minimum) sterile plastic or glass
    Sampling technique: Sterilise outlet before sampling using either heat or ethanol. Allow outlet to flow before sampling. Do not rinse bottle before filling.
