Dr Andrey Zheluk

D. Phil (Medicine), Graduate Diploma (IT - online media), MBA, Graduate Diploma Arts ( History),Bachelor Applied Science (physiotherapy)

Dr Zheluk has 30 years of clinical, industry and academic experience in health. His undergraduate degree was in physiotherapy. He worked in community and musculoskeletal health. After obtaining an MBA he moved into a number of health leadership roles including leading NGOs and communications for a federal government agency. He gained industry and consulting experience in medical education, community engagement and digital health in Australia and overseas. Between 2009-2012 he was the CEO of a Division of General practice. In 2015 he obtained his PhD (D.Phil Medicine) from the University of Sydney. His PhD was based on his consulting experience with international agencies in Russia, Ukraine and Central Asia. His current research interest is in digital therapeutics in acute low back pain. >He is currently a lecturer in the masters of health services management at the Bathurst campus of CSU.

  1. Illicit drug policy change in the former USSR- particularly Russia, Ukraine, Belarus and Central Asia
    (PhD thesis and consulting work)
  2. Novel data sources for policy decision making.
  3. Informal institutions and policy analysis.

PROJECTS

  1. Musculoskeletal Australia. Community health promotion for physical activity among frail people living
    in the upper Blue Mountains NSW. In collaboration with several local NGOs.
  2. Improving access to acute non-traumatic low back pain care through digital health.
