Adam Diamond

 Adam Diamond

Adam has had over 20 years experience in the Ambulance/Paramedic/Pre Hospital environment. He spent 18 years practicing as an ambulance officer/paramedic/rescue paramedic and trainer for the Ambulance Service of New South Wales (ASNSW). During his time with ASNSW Adam completed his ambulance and paramedic training as well as Rescue and Special Casualty Access Team SCAT training with Single Rope Techniques and Vertical Rescue and worked on many bush retrievals and road rescue scenes.

Adam spent time working in Sydney South West before moving to the Mid North Coast where he spent 15 years working between the Outer Hunter and Mid North Coast Area. Adam was part of the pilot 12 lead ECG and Thrombolytic training as well as Care and referral pathway courses which ultimately led to the modern day Extended Care Paramedic Program.

After retiring from the ASNSW in 2010 Adam has taken on education roles with private companies as well as TAFE NSW and Mining companies and commenced in 2013 with CSU in the Paramedic Program. Adam's academic interests include the pursuit of continuous improvement in pre hospital care along with work and research in emergency and disaster management.

Adam has a Certificate IV TAE, Diploma Paramedical Science, Graduate Certificate OHS and a Masters OHS

Teaching philosophy

Adam is passionate about paramedic education and the continued growth and improvement of programs for pre hospital care. Adam takes a practical approach to teaching and believes in balancing academic study with hands on experience

Adam worked as a Trainer for the ASNSW for new paramedics as well as for paramedics skills upgrades and rescue training officer
