We undertake high quality applied and translational research of regional, national and international significance in collaboration with stakeholders in making this vision a possibility

Our context

The School of Community Health is located within Charles Sturt University’s footprint which extends from inland NSW to the coast, making a contribution to vibrant regional communities as hubs of knowledge exchange. CSU works with Aboriginal communities and Elders in these regional areas addressing areas of identified need and future development.

Our theme areas relate to key dimensions of this vision:

  1. Inclusion and equity of access to health and community services;
  2. Understanding and supporting optimal health and wellbeing at all ages in home, workplaces and communities including through active management of chronic conditions;
  3. Development of resources and supports for health and wellbeing, including of skilled, culturally competent allied health professionals, within a capability framework
  4. Generating new knowledge in collaborative approaches with individuals, families, communities and organisations that focus on co-design and co-production
