Amanda’s research interests surround entry to specialty practice in nursing and the pedagogies of transition.  Amanda completed a Master of Health Science (Nursing) via Charles Sturt University, with a research project involving curriculum analysis of a pre-service entry to practice course.  Later Amanda was a project officer for a pilot program that expanded the role of the Enrolled Nurse.  Currently in Amanda’s PhD, focus is on how entry to practice pedagogies in specialty areas, such as perioperative nursing, are shaped by their single entry point of employment.
