Professor Marino is the inaugural Head of the School of Exercise Science, Sport and Health having taken up the position in 2001 - 2011 and then again in 2014.
Professor Marino's research commenced in thermoregulation and its effects on neuromuscular function. He is now researching the evolutionary basis for fatigue with an emphasis on health and disease.
Professor Marino's main teaching interests lie in understanding research, philosophy of science and how science is used. He also teaches in the area of physiology.
